Songs
Do you ever wish you could write a song as good as one of the celebraties? It's not hard, all you need is inspiration! When I say that I mean something which really intrests you. You could really write a song about anything and everything if you put your mind to it. Now I know most songs these days are about love but that doesn't mean anything different is bad. I think it's harder to write raps than songs but everyone is different in what they like. So, how to write a song? The best way is find something boring to do. Not just me but most of my friends find it easier to write a song when you don't try, just let the lyrics and the tune flow to your mind, so to do that choose something you don't like but has free time to think -for me washing the dishes comes to mind. If you find just coming up with words on the spot is hard, here is something that might help a little more.
To wirte a good song, you need to come up with lyrics. If you're not so much of a music person, don't worry about the tune yet. Think of a basic title, nothing too much because you might want to change it later. Then, like in school, make a spider diagram. Anything at all that comes to mind. Then put it together like poetry. Simples.
So next decide what your song is going to be like, weather it's a fast upbeat one, a slow calming one or a bouncy happy one! This is where you get to be creative and decide on what ever you want. Also, decide if you want your song to rhyme. Rhyming is not so important to song and it's harder to write a good song that rhymes, but if you do want to rhyme your lyrics, first make a plot for where it's going to go. No, not like a plot for a story! What I mean is, that I sometimes find myself trying to come up with rhymes but it leads to song to a whole new completely weird direction!
E.g. the sky is blue,
It's beautiful and true,
It looks like glue,
And my name is Sue...
And so on... It starts to sound silly and stupid. So make it clear what you want in the first verse of your song. E.g. how the sky is beautiful. Then build on to it. Do the same with all of the verses and choruses and bridges. And then you've got your lyrics. If you find it hard to come up with rhyming lyrics just don't. Write a song that is true to you and your emotions, that way you can just write down how you feel about the certain topic instead of trying so hard.
